Nin got an Ella cape

I think we've both had it with the x-ray film cone! He currently has a bunch of blood feathers around his neck, and the cone was starting to really irritate him. He's been wearing an Ella cape for the past 2 days and so far, so good!

It's nice and soft around his neck, and Leyla will actually snuggle up next to him again because it doesn't poke into her face like the cone did. He seems a lot more comfortable with it. He can fly with it, which was a concern of mine. Also taking it off and putting it back on is a lot quicker and easier!

The only downside so far is that to have it big enough for him to be unable to reach his feathers, he stumbles over it occasionally.

Ohhh little Nin ... you are just so precious. I wonder if after he becomes used to it he will stop tripping over it? I sure hope so! It looks much more cozy. You'll have to try and snap a picture of Leyla cuddling up to him with it on it on! I want to see the cuteness !

I couldn't believe the difference in his demeanor as soon as I switched the cone to the cape! It must be a lot more comfortable for him, especially with all the itchy pins around his neck.
