oh fun! One of my repeat customers is a hamster believe it or not, and they send me photos all the time. I never really cared for hammies before but I am kind of smitten with them now :lol:

I had a cream long hair as a child & they wer very new then!...they are fun but lifespan is not very long. Now they have so many colors...love the silvers/chinchillas

I had two in succession as a kid, both named Henry. Lifespan was about a year or two. Mine got good care - at least as that was defined in the 70's. I remember the smell of pine shavings which couldn't have been any good for them. Tank was probably ten gallons. I remember cleaning it in the bathroom tub every Saturday morning. I don't remember what my mother bought to feed them.

I had a Liberty ball for mine. It was fun to watch them roll around the house.
