New glasses

I got glasses today and I went to see Winnie. He got really scared of them and flew away .
They are just reading glasses but I mostly read WITH him, he eventually calmed down . He is a bit curious about them and has started to have a little nibble of them. He wont let me get my face close to him because he will just lean back and then fly away

Is there any way to get him used to them?
How do i stop him chewing on them and breaking them?

They’re just brand new so give him some time to realise they’re not a threat to his safety.

Tteok (and later Pudge) thought the arms of my glasses were so nifty because they're shiny.
