New flock member!

Good morning feathered friends!
I am adopting a 19y Male Congo from a rescue in Pineville NC this morning. The meet and greet went well and the Grey is rather laid back. I've made a list of questions to ask before signing the dotted line but I thought I would throw the topic to the seasoned owners to cover my bases. Any suggestions?

Has he been at the rescue long enough for them to get to know him?
If so, find out his favorite foods, and types of toys he likes best.
Any specific handling advice.
I'd not worry so much on behavior or why relinquished.
Every adoption story is different, and seeing different behavior with each family is normal.
And behavior can and will change over the years.
It's up to you to shape behavior you like and extinguish behavior you don't like.
Definitely find out about any health issues.

Thanks for the advice! I dropped the history questions. He has a clean bill of health from their avian vet from April. Just some foot sores from bad perches that are almost healed. He loves almonds, they feed fresh chop and tops pellets and they sent me home with a wood toy. I'm very nervous/excited for the journey! I'm so glad I was able to adopt! It feels good
