We just got our new baby. Born March 1st. We should have dna tests this weekend, but the name works! My question is, what mutation would you call Skittle? My guess is pastellno but would love to hear your thoughts! Very friendly and eats with an attitude! PS, the leg is not really that color. Our breeder uses non toxic marker to mark their chicks rather than bands. 20210519_193453.jpg 20210519_193453.jpg

:hello1:and welcome to the Avenue! Skittle is adorable!!

I did notice that in one of the photos Skittle has a "snuggle hutt" in the cage, I would reccomend removing the tent/hutt as they can make birds hormonal and birds can also ingest parts of the fabric and get crop impactions, or get stuck in fraying threads.

Welcome to the avenue! Skittles is gorgeous! But yes, I would take out that snuggle hut for sure. Do you have any other lovebirds/birds?

I have been reading up and will be removing the tent when I get home.

I am planning to remove the tent when I get home. We have a canary that is in a different room. Pretty exciting!

That wooden branch lower left looks great, I´d move it somewhre else where it can be a little higher. Where it is now will likely be pooped on more than perched on.

Aww, so cute! A few of my birds like to swing a lot too!
Same. My little ones love swings :)

S/he’s beautiful and your kid looks so happy! I also have a canary in another room because we just brought home a baby green cheek conure 5 days ago. Folks on this forum helped me rearrange my cage and advise me on everything from food to toys to training. Welcome -it’s a great group.

Loving this girl! Sat on the keyboard while my daughter played piano and loved it. Eating on our hands. She climbed up herself for a treat. After this round I offered the cage or treat to stay with me and she chose treat. Big day but now it's time for bed! 20210521_200122.jpg
