I don't have enough rope to make a climbing net, properly, and my parents said they would try to get me a climbing net for Christmas, so I need new ideas for the rope, please. Could I make a atom, or something? Any ideas? I tried to make the net last night, but it was to hard, my hands got sore and the knots were taking up to much rope. The rope I have is 50FT of Sisal rope. Thanks, Victoria

My amazon would not be able to play on the net, would she? if I just used regular zip tyes? I don't have a lot of $, so I can't really buy those heavy duty ones.

You could probably make a medium atom, but the supplies to make the atom would probably cost more than good zip ties.

Thank you GG! If I did make a climbing net and I used zip ties, could my amazon play on it?

1/4 of a inch, LOL! They did not have 1/2, or I would have gotten that.

Those are cool links gg. My too loves to chew on plastic so maybe the zips would be the main attraction but if not I would think they would work. Just replace ones that get bitten through.

You will find uses for the rope, though. Just tying off bridges from one point to the next, etc. I wrap rope around a lot of things to give the birds a "vine" to travel on.

1/4 inch is great for braiding and you can do some fun things with it for them!!

you are very creative and I am looking forward to what you come up with!

You could take the rope and wrap it around some wire and make a perch or a boing.

drape it from the ceiling for the birds to perch on

just get some hooks, preferably those made for drywall so they can bear weight

I would cut in three even lengths and braid them together to one nice long thick tree branch and tie each end to the ceiling. My birds use it like a runway.

just like Chrissy. :)
