Hello im new here and need help with my 5-6 week old baby bird. Whenever I try to hand feed my bird it doesn’t want to and I eventually have to force hand feed it and it always nibbles on things and my hand too what do I do?!

What species is the bird?
How long have you had them? Often in the first day, they may not accept food. Keep trying. Monitor weight, and if there's a noticable drop, gavage feed.

He’s a red faced bird and I’ve had him for 8 days
What has he been eating for the last 8 days?
What foods are you offering?
Are you checking the temperature? Consistency? Is this the same food the breeder was using?
Where is he living?

I am unsure of the question, sorry. But if your bird is eating, but you are unsure of the next steps, here is a good article to print or download;

Another good link for hand feeding info ;

Post any questions you have or things you are unsure of and the community will hopefully be able to help you :)
