Nara and the kids

Here's Nara (now 1 year old) and the two new babies (now 6 weeks). I'm raising both of them to weaning, but only one will stay with us and become Nara's buddy. The other will go to a friend's house to be their baby.

Nara was carefully introduced to them, as she was displaying extremely affectionate behavior towards them from behind the glass. She immediately took to them and has been grooming and cleaning them on a near daily basis.

Some of the pictures are from when they were a bit smaller, all the way up to today, when they started hopping out of the incubator and "flying" around. They grow so fast, right before your eyes.

Yeah, I was expecting a huge hissy fit for weeks if not months. None of that. She really is a good affectionate girl.

Thanks guys. It's good seeing you as well. I've been so busy lately and haven't had much time to read/post.

A RF (or two) is always an option for me. These two babies were not a premeditated buy and I got them on a whim. I came across these two and they were just impossible to resist. The owner seemed anxious to get rid of them and I was worried they'd go to an inexperienced person, so I took them up. I know a couple of my friends wanted suns, so I offered to raise them to weaning. "Unfortunately", one of them totally won my heart and will be staying with us. He has an awesome personality that reminds me a lot of Nara as a baby. Who knows, with some luck and training, he might end up just like her. I don't know the genders yet. Hopefully I'll have the answer by the end of this week or early next week. I'm hoping it's a male so she gets a bf, but if it's a female, at least I won't have to worry about fake eggs and what not.

I actually quickly bonded with just one of them, and so did Nara. Both of us have slightly lower preference for the other one (poor baby), which is why we've decided to keep the one we like irrespective of gender. He gets along well with Nara and he loves the bejesus out of us.

Emilyy, you will most likely just see a few pictures here and there, then just the end result. I suspect the new baby will be gorgeous. While Nara was more on the orange side, I think this one will be on the very yellow side.
