My little Hahns macaw is getting very close to being ready to come home
The breeder had my baby microchipped and surgically sexed this week and I found out he's a boy I had a lovely girls name picked out but now I'm having trouble picking a boys name so would love some suggestions. He's a very placid little fellow happy to amuse himself with toys and loves a little cuddle I would like a name that is either a bit different or unusual or some thing a bit old fashioned and traditional.
I've already got these names on the short list...
Guiseppe (after Giuseppe Verdi the opera composer)
Rembrandt (Remmi for short)
Harry
Henry

I would love to hear some name suggestions for my little boy

I tried calling him by several of the names at our visit yesterday, he seemed far too interested playing with the foot toys to be bothered by the names So I guess it's all up to me, I really am leaning towards Guiseppe at the moment but I'm still not certain.

I have had lots of fun today collecting some lovely native Bottlebrush branches and getting them cleaned and fitted to the cage (with help from my dad and his power tools) and setting up some toys as it looks like he may be ready to come home next weekend (Fingers Crossed ). I'll start a new thread in the Macaw section when I have cage pics and when he is home

How did I just see this? I thought my radar was automatically tuned in to all of the little Hahnsies, but I guess not

I do love Rembrandt/Remmi and Giuseppe. Off the top of my head, a couple other ideas are Alto, Adagio, Dorian, Sebastian, and Felix.
