I heard recently that you can buy fertile parrot eggs and raise them yourself, much like you would with chicken, duck or quail.
I have hatched out chicken eggs in the past and really enjoyed it. I have also handfed young budgies in the past (though they were old enough to have pin-feathers when I started) My point is, I think I am capable of doing it. Also, it really appeals to me. It sounds so amazing.
I know I don't have to raise and handfeed a bird to make it like me. (I've done a lot of research on this.) I just really want to because they are so sweet and babies are precious.
So I did a lot (a lot) of research. I found the best incubator, baby parrot formula, and I looked into the risks and problems and health issues. I'm prepared, but I also became very excited, which was a mistake.
Because as I looked into places to find the eggs, I started reading about scammers. Some people were saying that nobody sells fertile parrot eggs and they are all scammers. Is this true?
I would love to hear advice about how to avoid scammers or to know if someone is legitimate or not.
I found a website that sells fertile parrot eggs for hatching called Joseph Breeders Farm, which seems legitimate to me (but again I don't know what I'm looking for) and I would love if any of you could search it up and give some advice. I don't know how to copy links and put them here (sorry) but if you search "Joseph Breeders Farm" it should show up.
In advance, thank you all!
