Hi everyone,
Thank you for ur endless help in my previous questions, I really appreciate it !
I have a Quaker his name is Filfil (Green pepper in arabic hahaha), I’ve owned him since he’s 29 days old and now he’s almost 9 months. Today I’ve took him outside to be exposed to sun and shower him and I’ve noticed some blackish color of his wings’ feather. I’m not sure why ? Is it because of his diet ? (I give him mixed seeds with peanuts that I usually buy from pet stores), or could it be due to low amount of sun exposure ? Since I’m from Saudi Arabia and the sun here can burn everything and it reaches up to 48c in summer.
If anyone can help me, Filfil and I will be sooo happy.
thank you ❤

It could be diet related, but it looks like bronzing.

I’m sorry I’m not sure what bronzing is, but I’m concerned about his diet. Quakers are very prone to fatty liver, which seeds contribute to. Have you considered feeding pellets? Peanuts are a fatty nut. And should never be given in the shell. Consider slivers of almonds instead.
