Basil has arrived.

As soon as the carrier was opened, he was OUT, he hopped straight onto my hand. My mum is smitten, she absolutely loves him! (thankfully..) He is chirping away in the dining room right now (where he is being quarantined), while sitting in the sun, he is going to be perfect here, and I am so glad I got him.

And of course this thread would be useless without photos. He is not camera shy one bit, as you will see.

BTW, I put a thin blanket around his cage (not that he is in it, he loves being out) as it can get a bit chilly in the dining room, there is a *safe* heater out there ready, it is sunny right now, but you never know with the weather here.

He was my brothers 'tiel.. but due to work commitments, he can no longer look after Basil and his other 2 'tiels.

Skylar? Keiba was pulling out her tail feathers.. she literally left here with 2 tail feathers, and I couldn't cage her elsewhere due to her needing a big cage, so my friend's got her in a small aviary until her tail feathers come back in.

But he didn't know he was going to work until 2 jobs came up for him and he took them. I didn't see the fairness in them being locked up in a cage 24/7.
