My new kid....

I wanted to share my new dog with everyone! This is Dickens! He is a 9 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is a dog that I show and he was here for training. A few weeks ago, while he was here for training his owner/breeder asked me if I would like to have him. She just feels he does better with me. He is a very sweet boy, but can be a handful. His training is coming along beautifully. I will continue to show him and finish his championship. Meet Dickens

He is a handful just because he hadn't been taught impulse control and was/is very overwhelmed with a lot of things. But, he is doing GREAT and gets better all the time.

I am showing him in conformation. I am not too into competition obedience anymore but may toy with rally or agility with him. Yes, I am lucky. He is a really really nice dog (structurally), but we are very close and I am in involved in her breeding program and she thought it would be better for him and easier for her if he came to live with me. I may have been able to resist except that........he's black and tan which is my favorite.

oh your so lucky to be showing i just loved it ha ha i entered my st in the show of shows in ottawa 2 yrs running not that he would do anything but to see and watch top dog and the gowns and tuxes
it was worth the trip .
camping at shows spent my summers running weekend after weekend many many yrs ago over 30 think ill watch for one this summer and go see how much things have changed and if i didnt say so i do think your new kid is a champ
