You know, I'm kind of digging J'adore -- that's really cute!

I finally remembered to check out your Flickr pix... OMG, that baby has slayed me with her (his?) cuteness! What a little darling

Don't lovies have amazing personalities? They are so full of life. They have absolutely no idea how tiny they are, either :p

When we were snorggling last night, I could hardly keep him still! He is really starting to get SUPER exploratory! Quick lil bugger, too! He LOVES to perch on my index finger & hang upside down! LOL OMG it is a blast having such a tiny lil parrot! :dancing:

I'm trying to get him used to laying on his back but I can't keep him still! Is it too early to try this?

Lovies aren't known for laying on their backs like conures or caiques... but some do it, even laying on their backs to play. If she's OK with you cupping your hand over her back, you can try to teach her. Try resting her on your chest and slowly leaning forward with your cupped hand supporting her back. Do this gradually (assuming she doesn't put up a fuss) and she may surprise you! Vera Appleyard explains this better in The Lovebird Handbook - excellent lovie book!

It's a great book -- definitely the best on out there on lovebird care. It covers everything that a pet owner or potential breeder would want to know. Vera's website is www.ParrotParrot.com if you want to check out some more of her stuff!
