What a sweetie, and what a nice place to play! I'm jealous! I 'step' on my dogs too, I always tell them that I'm gonna squish them, but they never believe me, hehe.

The great thing about Zeke in that video is that in the past he WOULD have believed I was going to squish him. He was a puppy that someone dumped over our fence and has had many many issues with confidence ever since. I think the first time he started wagging his tail when he saw me he was already nearly 3 years old. The first belly-scratches were around 5 years old - also around that time he started being confident enough to approach strangers. From 7ish months to 2 years he would just stand back 15ft with his hackles up and growl until they went away. Now he's pretty good about most people and I can take him places and do all sorts of things - his main flaws these days are that he loves to pull on his leash and his recall isn't solid in new places. I'm pretty pleased with him
