My bird won’t remember any of her training

Every time I train her, she either gets way too distracted, or just won’t remember what to do after doing it for a day or two. I’ve done repetition and still, won’t remember. Keep in mind she’s at least younger than 4 months currently. When I got her she was 2 months old, so I‘m not sure her lil‘ tiel brain can remember things well.

If you train an animal in too long chunks, they can find it boring.

I’m trying target training, but I’ve tried other things on different days before.

It can take many weeks for it to click Just because she "mastered" it one day doesn't mean it always carries over. Try doing 5 min sessions a few times a day. Often if they are bored they will pretend they don't remember

Alright! Thanks. I’ve worked with cocketiels before it’s just that they always mastered the trick within seconds, while this one… would much rather try and see if she can eat a nonexistent fly.
