If his breathing isn't laboured and he seems fine, I would wait for the vet. They will have the proper instruments to get it out. Hang in there.

Wont That Collapse Their Lungs?
If you are taking the bird to the vet soon then I think you should just leave the bird alone as long as it looks ok and wait for the vet to remove the seed. Hopefully the seed will have dislodged itself before your appointment with the vet.

Sending prayers and hugs, I don’t have any advice aside from take him to the vet, and that’s been said multiple times already so I’ll just hope that your fid will be okay.

How's the sweetie this morning?

If the seed is still stuck I would take him to the vet to have it removed at this point.

I agree that a nasal flush should not be done without proper teaching as if done wrong they can aspirate the fluid. The fluid will come out inside the mouth and usually they are scared and breathing heavily.

As to the collapsing of the lung. I am not a vet and I only have large birds but no, I am not in danger of collapsing my birds lungs when sucking on his nare. The nasal cavity attaches to the inside of the birds mouth. If their mouth is open it is not a closed system. I don't even think with a closed mouth it is an air tight system but I'm open to correction on that. :)

I'm Trying To Get A Appointment This Morning...
But No Luck.
:bash::( My Only Other Option Is To Call The Emergency Vet Which Will Cost Like 3 Times The Amount...:(

Have you found a vet that will give you an appointment today?
You do not want to leave the seed for too long as they can get a bit gross and cause problems which will be even more vet trips and expenses not to mention the possibility of discomfort and infection for your bird.

@MaxieTheBirdie How is your bird doing? Did you manage to get him to the vet to have the seed removed?

Suck it out!

It's really easy, just go easy. ;)

I did it to my BG once and he now thinks it's the funniest thing. He makes me do it daily.
It's a new game.

What do you call it?
