Mousebird

Hi guys - my cousins found a mousebird a week ago on the floor and couldn’t seem to find it’s nest it was really lethargic and not energetic so i took it in. It’s been doing great so far i feed it banana and apple puréed and i give it cat kibble as well as someone who works for a rehabilitation center told me to as it has loads of nutrients. He’s really active and jumps about and can kind of fly however he isn’t eating solid things on his own yet like i’ve tried to put a banana slice in his home and he didn’t touch it. I will send a picture and if anyone could help me determine his age and what type of mousebird he is. Also do you guys think i should keep him in the future or release him ? thanks

I dont know much about mousebirds,,but he looks young,,@waterfaller1 has one, maybe she will see this! Thank you for helping, is there a wildlife rescue near you?
