Meet Jellybean!

He's been home for a little while now, but I've been remiss in not introducing Jellybean, our baby Rainbow Lorikeet. He "picked" my husband as his person when he was very young, and we visited him every week at the local bird store until he was weaned and ready to come home. He is a DNA'd male, and absolutely hilarious. Photos are in reverse chronological order, LOL.



He loves to wrestle









Every single bird we have has perched on my husband's glasses at some point. This guy started early, before he even came home with us.

He’s gorgeous how bigs your flock now and how do they all get on

We have a total of 12 - 2 budgies, 1 Lovebird, 4 Cockatiels, 1 Quaker, 1 Red Bellied Parrot, 1 GCC, 1 Dusky Pionus, and 1 Lorikeet.

I have trust issues, so we don't leave them all out together because I'm always afraid of squabbles, bitten toes, etc, but we have multiple groups that co-exist well while out together without bugging each other. We both work from home, and we each have multiple playstands in our offices plus play areas attached to the outside of cages, so there's always birds out in multiple places at all times. Everyone is fully flighted...the Red Bellied in particular likes to fly over to harass others, she's hormonal and in kind of a jerky phase right now, and doesn't like to see me give anyone else attention. The cockatiels want to be friends with everyone, but the Pionus is terrified of the smaller birds (which is pretty funny, but makes me sad). Violet, the tiniest budgie, is desperate to be friends with him, but he runs from her.

So in a nutshell, it's always complete chaos around here, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
