Hi, I’m not sure if this is allowed but wanted to let people know I saw 2 for sale at a store in NOVA (American Bird Company in Falls Church) They were crazy expensive. Employee said they were about 1.5yrs old and hand raised by them. $6000

We got our girl when she was 8 years old from a store for $700 just 6 years ago!

I thought it was crazy too! But I have found prices are super high here. They had an African Grey (Congo) for almost $10,000. She did say to “make an offer” on the Pionus and she would ask the owner.

I got a baby pionus from a Northern Virginia bird store about 12 years ago and I would be shocked if I paid over $400. It could have been the same store. WOW have prices increased.
