I'm joking! But that's the current joke in the house! We went to the Vet yesterday for presurgery check and Titan screening for being blood donor. Of course there is a video 
on the new patient paperwork where they ask reason for visit - Victoria wrote - Mother wants to steal his blood.....
I'm trying to not have a meltdown, Vet just sprang on me recommending ER overnight care for Max first night. We had planned I was staying in Philly near the surgical center first night (they don't have monitored overnight care and I think Max would be more stressed being alone). The ER would literally be just a sleep cage with oxygen and heat for Max. No hands on care or treatment.... and for that the estimate is $1,500-2,400 - yep world's most expensive oxygen.
I'm trying not to have a meltdown, I've been handling all this better than even I expected. Then I get the texts at 4:29 about cost for the night, I seriously feel at the end of my emotional rope. Can't say how much this sucks....
But to be positive, the biggest worry for surgery is the anesthesia, so overall that's great prognosis that Max will do great after surgery. So everyone please keep the positive thoughts, prayers and wishes for Max!!
And for me, fingers crossed I don't have a total meltdown
