The one thing anyone who wants plants must always consider is the danger of Aspergillosis. The soil that the plant lives in (in the house) is damp and warm and rich and the perfect home for robust Aspergillus fungus. If your bird can reach it, he is in danger.

Banana.

1000% banana. The broad leaves withstand macaw poo, and can be scrubbed if needed. Larger trees (and they do get big) are sturdy and don’t fall apart even when the big birds go play in them. If I remember correctly, you’ve a large cabin like we do. As long as you have tall vaulted ceilings you should be fine.
