Chuck them out and get some new ones is what I would do.Okay I noticed he is breaking tiny pieces off the rings. Dust-like particles. I feel it is probably nothing worth mentioning, but I just wanted to make sure that it's safe?
I am not sure who to tag... @macawpower58 ?
Okay. I am just curious, could one grind them smooth?Chuck them out and get some new ones is what I would do.
Burt has a few acrylic toys he loves but once they get like that they just keep disintegrating and cannot be washed properly.
Give it a go and report back yeah? I honestly have no clue.Okay. I am just curious, could one grind them smooth?
I haven't had Lovie for years yet. The rings I'm not sure. I know I had them when I had Felix. So maybe 2 or 3 years. At most 4If my bird was breaking off small pieces, I'd get rid of them.
Impaction and/or irritation that builds up would be a fear, you really don't know how many tiny pieces got inside him, especially if he's been going at these for years. How old are these rings?
Awww someone looks happy!!So I asked my handy-man father who owns a grinder. He said it would be too time extensive, and would be difficult to achieve a smooth finish. So I chunked them, and bought new ones today.
