Hi all, I've lost my cockatiel, they flew out at 1:30 pm ish, it's been raining badly, will they'll be able to come home? Im seriously worried. Do you have any tips to find my cockatiel? He is the apple of my heart and I would not want to lose him. His name is Rango IMG_20211001_123824.jpg

i hope you find him. You can put his cage outside with some food. Also, contact neighbors, vet offices, rescues and police department to alert them. Also, if there are any fb bird groups in your area you can post there and post on your own fb page if you have one. Yes, people often find their lost birds so don't give up hope.

Have you listed him on www.parrotalert.com ?
Post in facebook groups,
Email all vets (even cats/dogs ones)
create flyers to post in local shops etc
Walk around the streets calling him
Go around the neighbourhood with pictures asking if anyone has seen him
Check neighbours gardens
Check on top of apartment building roofs
Look in the local park in the trees
Advise local animal services (the pound, rescue centres)
Drop a poster off at the police station, fire station

I've put his cage outside, and some treats along with it, it's quite late currently, I'll contact vet and the others tomorrow. I've posted on my local group chat aswell. Thank you!

Contact all vets & petstores, including dog & cat stores. Post online classifieds. Good luck!

Hi again, Its been 3 days and I'm getting very worried, I've made a flyer and posted it on my local group chat and ParrotAlert.com, including contacting vets and calling for him outside everyday, nothing has come up since then... I miss my little birb... Is there any chance he'll come home? :(

Yes we have, It rained heavily for the first 2 days, so I'm not sure if he's anywhere near our area... I just hope to find him. I lost my last cockatiel (Was a sibling to Rango) to a disease, only 8 months old :(

Thank you guys for the support <3
