Is there anyone in Slovenia (Maribor) who can rescue a Ring Necked Parakeet? He is 10 years old and was the beloved pet of my partners Mother who passed away. He is now with another family member but they are not looking after it and the poor bird is kept in its cage all day long with no interaction. We would love to find someone in Slovenia to rescue this poor bird and give it a loving home where he can fly freely and get enrichment.
Although we would love to take the bird we are in the UK and there are lots of hoops to jump through to transport a bird from the EU to the UK.
If anyone in Slovenia (or even Austria or any other country nearby) can help with this poor bird it will be greatly appreciated.
