really like your style, I'm not really a cartoon person either. I think you're idea of a tree would be amazing! I don't really need the names underneath, I think it would look better just with the birds and the tree, no text at all.

I agree it would be very tasteful and bring out the natural beauty of your flock
We could add a text below depicting you're flock without distracting for the natural beauty of the birds in a natural environment.

I quite like this sort of look. I think the vines going across are quite cool, so maybe those could be incorporated? Maybe the birds could be sat on the vines? I think that would look great.

Another suggestion, because you're flock is large a somewhat muted jungle background might bring out you're birds as the focal point. Imagine them on the vine/branch, with a misty jungle background as another example.
I post some ideas ... what say you

ok, pick the one you want me to use, with number 5, i will incorporate a branch in the foregound , image #3 is a graceful branch ,I can scale down to use. Muting the background will would make it pop ! if you decide to go with #5
