I never thought I would see one, and it took me a minute to realize what he was!

I'm thrilled I got to see one, and a baby no less!

He doesn’t even have a rattler! That’s one of the things that makes babies more dangerous.

He's sort of got a spiny tail though, so that would help to differentiate from other snakes

For some reason tons of people think shed is gross when they will touch an actual snake. You do know that the shed is the skin you were just touching right?

It looks like his rattle just fell off or something. Maybe he went though a shed recently.

They're born with just the little first triangular nub, then the subsequent sheds slough around it becoming the bits that rattle.

I wasn’t sure thanks for clarifying. I don’t know a lot about rattlers, you usually don’t see them up here, and if you did the whole town would start panicking
