I photographed this little guy at the Zoo. I could hear people scoff how weird I was for ignoring the actual exhibits and stalking a robin instead. I guarantee you not one of them had a better model in better (perfect) light all day long.

The European robin is much smaller than the American robin. In the United States, some people keep the European robin in aviaries due to their song.

very nice picture!! I had a similar experience when I visited the zoo in salt lake city, Utah last year. Being from MN I have never seen a magpie, we have crows, ravens, back birds, invasive starlings, but no magpies. lo and behold Utah has Magpies!! There was one in an outdoor exhibit (not the animal that was on display), I was so excited and everyone was staring at my like I was some strange lady!! :lol:
