I photographed this little guy at the Zoo. I could hear people scoff how weird I was for ignoring the actual exhibits and stalking a robin instead. I guarantee you not one of them had a better model in better (perfect) light all day long.

very nice picture!! I had a similar experience when I visited the zoo in salt lake city, Utah last year. Being from MN I have never seen a magpie, we have crows, ravens, back birds, invasive starlings, but no magpies. lo and behold Utah has Magpies!! There was one in an outdoor exhibit (not the animal that was on display), I was so excited and everyone was staring at my like I was some strange lady!!
