Linnie sound curiosity

Hi all,

First time poster and subtle lurker.

My Linnie "Cookie" as been making these sounds linked below:

These aren't necessarily new but they are constant pretty much all day. I've always wonder what this is indicating.

My own analysis has been either pin feather agitation or is this some nesting / hormone behavior?

By no means a professional and wanted the communities feedback just so I may understand my feathered friends emotions better.

Thanks,
Z

I've heard a similar sound when Gigi is playing/fighting with a toy. Just maybe a few minutes here and there. But also I sense some agitation in your video. Is he/she flighted? Cookie seems to want to fly somewhere. If he/she was in the cage, I'd say for sure your bird wants out!

Just listened to your Cookie's sounds and our Green Cheek Conures sounded the Alarm! Our oldest Green Cheek, while not a Linnie, makes a similar sound when exploring unfamiliar "tunnels" (like between the couch and end table etc) He also will make that sound when looking for us in an unfamiliar room. So possibly it is a curiosity sound.

I have a female linnie who makes this sound often! Sometimes when she does it she's chilling out and looks relaxed to me. Other times it's when she's broody somewhere. In either case she can go on making the noise for long periods of time .

For what it's worth, when I played your video for my linnie flock they all got silent for about 3 seconds and then resumed what they'd been doing . No indication of alarm or concern . Lol
