Hello, I’m curious as to what my birds band means it says RWE 134. I adopted “Kiki girl” 7 1/2 years ago. I didn’t really know what I was getting into but she’s my “little love”

She requires a lot of time and attention and cleaning up after lol

I am 65 years old, and will most likely die before her. I have a provision for her in my will, and Estate Plan.
My son will be inheriting her, and he loves her so much too.

anyways, that’s my story and I just really am curious as to what her band means. Does anyone have any information?

Welcome! The RWE is just the breeders identification. It could be their initials, or it could abbreviate their aviaries name. There is no indicator on this band for the year that your bird was hatched.

OK, thank you, I spent some time yesterday and saw that there was a TX right between the RWE, and the number, so I would assume she was purchased in Texas. The good news is I did get her from the original owner and Kiki was 18 at the time so now she’s 25 years old. She most likely will outlive me but that’s OK. We have plans in place for her care

I have a Little Chlorella with the same band letters RWE TX. My mom purchased her in Indiana and she is about 20 years old. I too was looking to find more information hopefully through her band ID number.
