pippin swoled in inhaled some kwik stop and i dont know what to do please help
pippin a a male hahns macaw he is 13 and this happend a few mins ago he is agited and has for the most part settled down and is in his cage

liquid form I'm so stupid for trying the vet said there was nothing he could do so he is in a towel with flower on his Beck so it stops bleeding

i was triming his beck (it grows vary fast and needs triming offten) so i get him in the towle and just as i trim he sqerms causing me to take a bit to much off

Did the vet say that his beak should be trimmed regularly? It is my understanding that Hahns Macaws just have long pointy beaks and that it shouldn't be trimmed.

I hope he'll be ok. Maybe in the future just give him some nuts in the shell and he can trim his beak naturally. :hug8:

whew! Im glad hes ok, can you file the beak instead of trim? Thats what I do.

So glad he's okay now. The beak bleeds alot so I know you were scared. FYI, we have found that the liquid Kwik Stop does not work as well as the powder. Maybe some hard wood toys might help keep the beak down some. Good luck.

hes not a chewer but he loves Popsicle sticks so were going to pick a lode up for him
