Kota - wound one turn too tight today

Yeppers, it's that time of the year. Kota spent most of the day flying back and forth from stand to stand and to other places where he shouldn't go today. I was cooking and he knows the stove is a bad place but insisted on flying over there time and time again - soooo, gotta use the stick to move him back to a perch when he does that because he gets all cranky when he does something he KNOWS he shouldn't. He usually says "Hey, stop that" at the same time he does it. The last time I heard wings from behind me I had a kettle on (no flame but still plenty hot) so put my arm over the kettle to prevent contact if he should be landing near. Of course he corrected his flight path, landed on the counter and miffed at me, ran right over -opened wide and ....... PINCH - it's not horrible, but I should have known it was coming. The picture is from about 30 seconds after Kota went "bed bed" immediately after the bite. It's now a black and blue lump but I knew it was coming as I watched him get ratcheted up all day long. Normally pretty mild mannered, he bit me twice earlier in the day and has been playing so agressively and using my hubbie's voice continuously all the while he regurgitates at the sight of his favorite - my DH.

Ouchie again! He definitely is feeling his oats and asserting himself. My grey, Dexter gets my hubs once in a while. No blood yet but those bruises hurt!

Ha - DH said Kota nailed him yesterday too. I don't feel so bad now - he got his favorite, wow.
