PS. I confess I didn't think much of chickens(my ignorance) until I saw the PBS "The secret life of chickens" and fell in love with a French hen. What a story of maternal sacrifice.

Didja not READ the description? Tiny, fiesty, pretty, comical chickens that fit easily in a back yard--what's not to like You can also pet 'em. I had a couple that used to sit on my lap and get scritches. They're not parrots, but they're darn nice little outdoor pets. Plus, y'know, fresh, non-cruelty-derived eggs are always a bonus.

I used to have acouple bantam roosters and there was nothing nice about them. Now our Golden Sex Link hen she's a completely different story.

I have a couple of the sweetest Japanese Silky hens as well as a handful of regular hens

they are so much smarter than folks realize
