Jasper (cockatiel) favoring one foot.

Jasper had a night fright a couple of days ago, and he is now favoring his left foot. He climbs around his cage just fine and still uses that foot to grab food, etc. However, he hasn't been perching with it like normal. He holds it up much more frequently, and, when it is down, he doesn't seem to be gripping very hard.

I plan on taking him to the vet for a nail trimming in a couple of weeks. Is it probably ok to just watch him until I take him in mid-October?

Have you had him step up? If so, what was his grip like then?

Jasper doesn't step up. All I can do is watch him really. Nothing else has changed though. Activity level is the same, eating, drinking, etc.
