Urgent Jacks toe

Hello this is jack he is an African timneh grey. This morning when we uncovered him his toes were bent up, he isn’t used to being handled so we don’t want to take him
To a vet unless this is a serious issue. Does anyone have any ideas of what could have happened?

If hes holding it up, it may be injured, is there something in the cage he may gotten caught on?

If he keeps holding it like that, regardless of the reason, he's likely in pain, and pain is something that should always be brought to a vet.

Could have caught it on something, pinched it, etc
Fallen and sprained
Stroke
Arthritis
Etc

Very hard to know from here

Jemma, you need to schedule a vet appointment as soon as you can. Something looks to be wrong with that foot/leg.

It's serious enough that you need a vet.

I am in Essex England we have found one nearby now we need to get some gloves to catch him which I am hoping doesn’t stress him to much poor jack.
