i love photographing bees and butterflies on flowers. I oughta take Willow to the pedestrian mall tomorrow and get some pics of Willow with the summer planters.

Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t viewed bees vs wasps for a long time. What are the differences? I see the abdomen looks longer and maybe more yellow than amber but thought the leg “feathers” were the honeybee baskets.

I think these are “stealth wasps”.


“How can you tell the difference between a honey bee and a wasp?
Bees tend to be 'hairy' to allow pollen to be gathered more easily whilst wasps tend to be bald and shiny in appearance. Honey bees are social insects and live in a nest which may contain several thousand workers. Unlike wasps and bumble bees, the honey bee's nest survives for many years.
