So my parkeet layed infertile eggs a few weeks ago and theres only 2 left but she's been sitting on them for a while now expecting them to hatch and I'm not sure if to get rid of them or not because I don't want her to get upset, I'm not sure if she will or if she'll end up laying more again. This is the first time she's ever laid eggs so I'm not sure what to do exactly. She's always laying on them and barely gets up to play, she'll just get up to eat or drink water.

@Zara is really great with egg questions :) How long has she been sitting on the eggs? Typically a hen will lose interest after a few weeks. Incubation for a budgie is ~18 days.

Welcome to the Avenue Liz :)

Count from when your hen started brooding and work out when your eggs "would" hatch (incubation period). Then add a few days on (3 or so). If she has not abandoned the eggs of her own accord, remove them and the nest and rearrange the cage, toys perches and food/water bowls. If you can move the cage within your home, even better. Adding a new toy and providing a new foraging activity will also help.
