Hi everyone I am new here and I have a question to ask I have a Ringneck that I handfed and he is not quite a year old yet lately when he sits on my shoulder he has been biting my face and my lip when i turn my head to talk to him does anyone know why he might have started doing this and what I can do to correct the problem he has left several bleeding bites on my face and lip HELP

For now, I would say not to allow him up on your shoulder.

Work on training new behaviors and make sure your bird knows how to play independently with toys and forage for food.


With some work in training and teaching new behaviors, you may try reintroducing sitting on your shoulder with some foot toys or a toy necklace he can play with to keep busy.
