Hello all,

I am very new to this thread as well as adopting a lovebird! I recently rescued this lovebird and can happily say he’s now part of the family! His name is Django. I have parakeets but this is my first time caring for a lovebird. With that said, I do have a couple questions. I have seen lovebirds before but have never seen this one with these colors. Can you help me identify his mutation? Also, he makes grinding noises with his beak every now and then - is this something I should worry about? Thank you!

 Welcome! What a gorgeous lovebird . @Zara might know the mutation. Yes, beak grinding is normal and usually signifies being calm.

Welcome to the Avenue Sidney!

not the peach faced lovebird
This bird is a Fischeri lovebird :)

They´re Turquoise, but not sure what other mutations are there, I´m not so good with Fischers lovebird mutations.

It's an exceptionally handsome lovebird! Whenever I think that, it almost always turns out to be a Fischer's.
