Where I live, there is a nesting group of red shouldered hawks. This morning, I woke up, went to look at the snow near the birdfeeder, and all of the sudden one of the hawks comes diving down and almost catches a squirrel who was eat from the birdfeeder. The hawk was really beautiful, and it was snowing which made it look even more graceful.

Seeing raptors hunt is a fantastic experience. Red shouldered hawks are super pretty too!

I hope that they lay eggs where ever they're nesting. It would be great to see some of their chicks in the future!
