I think I finally found a Bird safe George Foreman grill alternative!!

We were looking for something similar that would grill and drip out the fat but something that was Teflon free. I was having a hard time finding anything for years. Everything out there seemed non-stick coated. I finally found a lot of Duraceramic products at Walmart which is great. I bought the Oster ceramic belgian waffle maker at Target.

Make sure you heat that thing up OUTSIDE the house the first time. My waffle maker smelled awful! But - after cooking the first batch outside, all is well!!!! I love the thing!

I just googled "bird safe grill" and found this thread. I registered to inform you (and any future googlers) that George Foreman now also has a line of ceramic grills that are free of the nonstick chemicals that are toxic to birds.

Actually, I thought I looked at those at Christmas. I wound up with a different ceramic grill. Do they say they are free of both PTFE and PFOA?
