I found this little guy and need some info

I am in south africa free state
We found him outside last night

What bird it is as well as what to feed it to insure its survival i only have experience with mynah birds and am currently raising my first one
I would like to make sure this little one makes it to adulthood to be set free when the time comes

Does it have wing feathers? If it's able to lift off the ground I would put it back where you found in. Fledglings often will sit on the ground and look abandoned, but actually they're just resting while learning to fly and the parents are nearby watching out for it.

That's a cute little one and I hope it's doing OK.

Not sure about what type of sparrow/bird you have found but check out that website.
There is lots of information there, a recipe for feeding baby sparrows, and a forum for posting questions.
