Hi everyone! I just found a way to make rope for bird toys out of tissue paper and it's extremely simple. All you need is the tissue papers that you put inside of gift bags, they should have a plastic-y look/texture.
Take one of the papers and find the side that tears, choose the thickness and tear it. After you have your piece, start twisting it until it starts turning into a rope. That's it!
It makes a rope that's long enough to make a medium-sized bird toy, but you can cut it to your desired shape.
Make sure to cut off any loose pieces to reduce the chance of your bird getting tangled in it. And just like cotton rope, if you notice your bird eating it take it out ASAP.
Enjoy!
