How HARD of a nut can they crack?

The thing about parrots is if there is a weakness or a slight crack in a nut they will find it and work on it until they manage to get it open. If nuts are really hard I just give them a little tap with a hammer to create that weak spot. They always find it and start working on it.
Just like you right? A little tap with a hammer.........................

You know, my greys and tiny white D2 have no problems getting into nuts, even the big ones like the Walnuts and Brazil nuts. They know that if they want the meat inside, they have to WORK for it!

I was going to buy pecans still in the shell today but they seemed QUITE slippery.:huh:
