How do your Ekkies like to bathe?

Today I adopted this handsome fella!

He smells like he hasn’t had a bath in a while, and his tail feathers are a little ratty. At the rescue they get sprayed once or twice a week but no idea whether this is his preferred way to bathe.

What do your ekkies prefer?

I don't have one, but I see a lot of videos online of a gentle spray bottle doing the trick. Like stronger than a mist, but not a squirter, if that makes sense.
