A bird from pulling the papers up through the grate?
Dolly is constantly sticking her foot down in the corner of her cage and doing this.
I have put a large ladder vertically on top to deter her, but then she goes to another corner.
She stops when she knows she is being watched, but once we are out the room she's at it again.
Any advice would be welcome.
There is only one slot for the grate and one for the tray, so changing it is not an option.

Try sticking a used wooden block on the paper in the corners.

Thank you both for your suggestions :)
Hubby is going to look in the garage and see if he has anything similar to your suggestion. :)

I am sorry that I forgot to come back to this thread. I use binder clips, but do have to make sure that I keep Michael away from the outside of the cage.

Aww no worries and thank you for another great suggestion. :)

We managed to find 2 heavy weight magnets and they are holding it down good. We just put them at the back corners as she must think we can't see her there trying to pull the paper. Lol

I just like them as they go on the outside so Michael does not see another "toy", nor do he have something else to use for target practice!

Yes. I am not sure of the exact size. I had to try a few to find one that went over the bar to hold it tightly.
