How do i know if my pans and the pans at the store are bird safe?

I have some steel pans at home but im.not sure if they are safe. Is theyre a test i can do ? And and tbe store what to i need to check while buying them?
Ive closed the stoce top a couple times with my bird on my shoulder and he seemed fine but id like to kbow just in case

If they are not advertised as non stick, they should be safe.

If they are nonstick, then you need to look for PTFE and PFOA free
