LOL..I am sorry, I had to laugh a little inside. Seems he was more than a wee bit jealous, don't you think?
I just checked on Karma, he is ok, alert. Poops look small, but ok. They are on towels, so hard to tell just how much urates there are. On my way home from dropping off Troy this morning, I will stop and get the pedialite. He may be dehydrated. What kind of fruit do you think he might take? That would help with hydration too, right? I am still worried about him, and won't feel better until I know what Cindy and the vet says about his condition.
Oh no. I called Cindy and she just happened to be on her lunch break. He was not looking good. Head hanging down, heavy labored breathing, then his wings spread out, he made a little squeal, and that was it. He's gone. I feel so terrible.
Bye dear sweet bird, I am so sorry I could not save you.
I dont know what to say that anyone else wont, but you did do all you could. I am so glad you went and got it, so it spent the last bit of its life in wonderful comfort.
the vet just doesnt want money, they want to fix animals. My mom thinks they are out for money also. would rather make an animal die a long death then throw down. you wont see a person made to endure a broken leg for so long. thank you for trying to help the little fellow. sure he was just gorgeous.
I just finished putting him under one of my live oak trees. RIP little one.
And a thought occurred to me....
The one and only time I have ever had to bury a bird before was also from a cat. He was a cockatiel..I was staying at my sisters, I guess in the 80's. And the kids accidentally left the door open and a neighbor's cat came in. I remember my nephew was just a small child, and he and I said farewell together.
I still feel so sad. I did my best, just too late...
