Hi from me and Jack

Hi I'm Laura and I have 2 birds a parakeet and a gcc named Jack. I love these two . Just hoping to get some tips on my babies and be more at ease when I go on vacation in Oct after giving my fiance all my newly learned tips.

Jack is definately MY bird, he is very possesive he does go to my fiance and our roommate but he does not like it. He will always fly back to me after a few minutes.

How many have a seperate sleep cage? After we got him his new cage we kept the cage him came with for a sleep cage because he will not go to sleep in our room he just wants to always chatter. I keep food and water a perch and a rope swing and a toy in there is that good? I'm not sure if toys are good to keep in a sleep cage?

Well I hope I will learn lots of new tips and tricks to keep my babies happy

Welcome to the Avenue, Laura. I would think the way you have Jack's sleep cage set up is fine. This way if he's awake for anytime before you take him out he won't be bored which could cause some birds, over time, to start plucking for want of something else to do. It also gives him something to do to wind down before he goes to sleep.

Ok thank you! I wasn't sure if there was too little in there but he barely touches anything til I get him anyways.

hey there. welcome to the avenue!

i have a seperate sleeping cage for my amazon, and i move my lovebird's cage to a better location
each night for him to sleep soundly. i think it's great having seperate cages.
