A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to photograph the local Red Tailed Hawks during my lunch and I could have had a heck of a nice crisp close up shot of the male Red Tail in the tree(which i never see them in its always the air or the tower hundreds of feet up) so I was super stoked but before I could even attempt to get close this Blue Jay bounded all the way up from the bottom of the tree to chase him off like a feathered bullet and I missed the flight shot because it focused on the tree not the Hawk . But at least I got some kinda cool action shots so that's something.

I think that blue jay better reverse his flight path quickly and head for the hills.

He/she really was and it was zero hesitation the moment the Hawk landed it was game on.

100% accurate, reminds me of this comic I've had for years. They just don't care and think they are the size of Eagles.
